Guingamp suffered their third straight away defeat at the hands of FC Metz last night.
Guingamp started the game brightly creating 3 good chances in the first half but Giresse, Soumah and Diallo were all unable to take their chances.
At half-time the game remained 0-0, Guingamp’s failure to take their chances would once again come back to hurt them.
Metz created several chances early in the second half but it was the introduction of Papiss Cisse after 65 minutes that changed the game.
Metz took the lead in the 77th minute, Papiss Cisse scoring a penalty after Richard Soumah fouled Victor Mendy (1-0, 77 mins).
Metz then secured the victory in the 85th minute when Papiss Cisse scored his second goal of the game (2-0, 85 mins).
