Guingamp battled back from 2-0 down to snatch a draw away at Vannes on Saturday night thanks to an injury time equalizer from Francois Bellugou.

Guingamp started the first half slowly and were 2-0 down by half time thanks to two goals from former EAG player Cedric Liabeuf. The first came in the 25th minute when he converted a penalty, the second was a shot from distance that beat Gauclin in the 40th minute.

At half time things were not looking good for Guingamp but they battled their way back into the game. Guingamp like Vannes were awarded a soft penalty after 71 minutes which was converted by Thibault Giresse, the midfielder appeared to have pulled EAG back into the game but only a minute later he was sent off for a second yellow card.

Guingamp continued to press with 10 men and got their reward in the 93rd minute when Francois Bellugou scored his first career goal from a Gilmar free-kick.

Full-time: Vannes 2-2 EAG

Hopefully Guingamp can take some momentum from this game to help pull themselves up the league table and away from danger. The ‘red and blacks’ are currently sat in 18th place in the Ligue 2 table but just 9 points separates them from 4th place.
