The win sees Guingamp move up to 9th in Ligue 2 only 8 points behind 3rd place Angers SCO. The most positive factor is that EAG are now closer to a promotion place than a relegation spot.

Guingamp continued their good home form with a 2-1 win at home to Chateauroux. It was a difficult game against a team fighting against relegation this season. Victor Zvunka returned to a 4-4-2 formation with Eduardo and Riviere upfront, supported by Richard Soumah and Wilson Oruma out wide. It was a formation that worked well for the support players, who had plenty of space in and around the box.
